When Dead Space meets Bioshock.

 

 

A solo project in CGI, originally designed to be posted on cgshpere.com, that's why the head is so round.

 

I wanted to mix Bioshock's Big daddy with Isaac from Dead Space, both of these games really marked me by there ambiance and there awesome design. I am a huge fan of good science fiction, and I was always mesmerized by oceans. And i thought that both of these game could be joined in some kind of cool design. Yet I didn't want to make a realistic human shape so I got a bit inspired by the powerpuff girls design, with their big round heads, their small body and their absence of fingers. And I have to admit I find the result rather satisfying.

 

The project was done entirely in 3dsmax, and then composited with After Effects. Below the definitive picture you can see different passes I used for my compositing.

 

I also made a short video of it with just a camera movement for my showreel 2014.
