Movie Ambiance Research.

These are some of the early research for my graduation movie. At the beginning we hadn't decided anything apart that it would take place in the french suburbs and most of the movie would happen in a flat. But we had different place in our head that seemed more or less interesting, We needed to make quick graphic research to quickly develop an idea of what thing and places could look like and if there were finally interesting or not.

Those picture are some of those early works, the first one is a test of what the buildings, and there balcony could look like, this one made it to an actual shot in the movie, you can even find the matte painting on my portfolio. The three other picture shows the same laundromat, which at one point we found interesting for our story, but we decided not to use it in the end. I made three variations of it, because the first one was too clean, the second was so dirty and messy that it seemed just awful, and the last one is an average of the two others, not to clean, not to messy.
