This my graduation short movie. It isn't online for the moment but you can watch the teaser if you want, it's actually the first minute of the short movie.

This was a teamwork of five people and it took a full year to make. Based on an idea by Kilian Olmos, we then thought the project all together before actually making it, using each and everyone's talents and skills where they would be the most effective.

The idea was to make a movie that took place in the south east french suburbs, a place usually not shown for it's happyness and it's tranquility. But that's what we wanted to show, through an original story, that families, people lived there, and lived happilly.

We quickly decided to adopt a graphical style based on french comcis, colored and really graphic, so that it would help the story keeping a warm and light touch.

The six pictures you can see are the matte paintings I was in charge of. Using 3D modeling and camera mapping, I used photoshop for the color and the lighting. The final touch was added by someone else in charge of the final compositing of the movie, so that every scene looked from the same place at the same moment.
